I cannot say enough good things about Mastery Martial Arts Cumberland. The program is incredibly well thought out and meets students where they are. The focus is on so much more than the physical moves of learning karate, but uses karate to teach confidence, honesty, respect, discipline, self-esteem, and more. The instructors are amazing, the classes are fun and engaging, and the Mastery community is encouraging and supportive. My son loves attending classes and the many Mastery events throughout the year, including the family picnic, parents night out parties, leadership sessions and more. He enjoyed the mentorship of the older student helpers so much that he applied to become a helper for younger students. It’s a wonderful program and I would give 10 stars if I could!

Mastery Martial Arts Cumberland is an amazing place to bring your child. The instructors are patient, understanding and serve as great role models to all students. They instill good values in the children and they model what a good person should be like. My son has been attending Mastery for two years and he has developed his confidence, focus and determination. As a family we are glad that we chose to bring our kids to Mastery. It has been one of the best decisions we have made for our children. I want to specifically mention both Ms. Telliers. They are patient, compassionate and understanding. The Telliers are both amazing leaders with kind hearts. They are great to all of the students and push them to be their best every day.

We are very happy with Mastery Martial Arts and the positive impact they have had on our 5yo son. Our son has been taking classes for about 4 months now, and we have seen a noticeable improvement in his self confidence over this time. He loves the classes and the instructors (all 3 of the Telliers have been wonderful with him). We are very glad to be part of this program.

Your child does not need to already be confident, focused, coordinated, or comfortable in a group before starting Mastery. That is what we help them build.

Every child begins at their own starting point. Our instructors provide the structure, encouragement, and individual attention your child needs to feel comfortable and experience early success.

Your Mastery Cumberland instructors will help your child understand what to expect from the very beginning.

    We get to know your child

    Your child’s experience begins with an Intro Lesson. We learn about their personality, interests, strengths, and what you hope Mastery will help them develop.

    They learn how class works

    Your child learns where to stand, how to participate, how to listen, and what to expect. Everything is explained one step at a time.

    Being new is normal.

  3. 03

    They experience small wins

    Our instructors notice effort, celebrate improvement, and help your child do things they may not have believed they could do yet.

    Those small wins become evidence.

  4. 04

    You begin to see the difference

    Parents stay and observe class. You can see your child becoming more comfortable, focused, willing to participate, and proud of their progress.

No pressure to be perfect. No expectation that your child should already know what to do. Just patient coaching, clear structure, and meaningful progress.

That private lesson begins your child’s 30 Days of Free Confidence-Building Training. There is no obligation to continue after the introductory experience.

Confidence grows when children collect evidence that they can learn, improve and handle challenges.
