One way for us to understand how to be happy is understanding what doesn’t make people happy.
Here is a short list:
Don’t Set goals
Always compare yourself to others
Dwell on your Mistakes
Ignore your Blessings
Focus on what you don’t have
Hang out with negative people
Expect the worst
We all want to be happy but we don’t know how.
There are so many people who think they have the answer and can give it to you if only you come along with them on their journey of self-discovery which usually ends in an overpriced store bought product or another drug addiction addition this just doesn’t work! We need something that is durable, sustainable AND produces REAL results – not temporary highs from artificial substances like caffeine tablets etc..
1. Don’t Set Goals
One of the surest ways to never be happy is to never set goals. If you don’t have anything to strive for, you will never feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with achieving something. Additionally, without goals, you will likely find yourself feeling aimless and directionless.
2. Always Compare Yourself to Others
Another way to ensure that you never feel happiness is to constantly compare yourself to others. If you are always comparing yourself to those who are more successful or attractive than you, you will only ever feel inferior and inadequate. Additionally, comparing yourself to others can lead to feelings of envy and resentment.
3. Dwell on Your Mistakes
If you want to never be happy, make sure to dwell on your mistakes. By dwelling on your past failures, you will only ever see yourself as a failure. This can lead to a negative spiral in which you become increasingly unhappy with your life and your choices.
4. Ignore Your Blessings
If you’re looking for a guaranteed way to never feel happy, make sure to ignore all of the blessings in your life. If you take for granted the good things in your life, you will only ever focus on the negative aspects. This can lead to feelings of bitterness and discontentment.
5. Focus on What You Don’t Have
Another way to make sure that happiness eludes you is to focus on what you don’t have instead of what you do have. If you spend your time longing for things that you don’t have, you will only ever feel dissatisfied with your life. Additionally, focusing on what you don’t have can lead to feelings of jealousy and covetousness
3. Hang Out With Negative People
Surround yourself with people who are always complaining and see the world in a negative light. Their negativity will rub off on you and soon enough, you’ll be just as unhappy as they are. You don’t need any positive influences in your life – they’ll only make you feel worse about yourself.
6. Expect the Worst
When something good happens, immediately start expecting the worst so that you’re not disappointed when it doesn’t last forever. This way, even if something good does happen, it won’t matter because you were already prepared for it to end badly. You’ll save yourself a lot of heartache by always assuming the worst-case scenario.
7. Hold Grudges
If someone wrongs you in any way, no matter how small, be sure to hold a grudge against them forever. This way, you’ll always have something to be angry about and someone to blame for your unhappiness. It’s important that you never forgive anyone who has hurt you – otherwise, they might think it’s okay to do it again in the future
