How A Mother & Son From Cumberland, Rhode Island Found Success With Mastery
Childhood is never easy – for children or for parents. With everything from navigating school, to struggles with learning, it can be hard for children to feel comfortable, to feel confident, and to find their way. For years, martial arts training has become a popular activity for children and parents alike because it helps to break children out of their shell by teaching them how to achieve a heightened sense of focus and how to f eel confident in themselves and their abilities.
At Mastery Martial Arts, our goal is to help each and every student find their way – to not only master the art of martial arts, but to master life as well. Regardless of age, we strive to help you become the best person that you can be. Take this mother and son partnership for example. Mrs. Litchfield and her son Max came to Mastery Martial Arts with the intention of helping Max better cope with the effects of ADHD. Soon after seeing just how successful our program was, Mrs. Litchfield decided to sign herself up for a program too!
Introducing The Litchfield Family
Max had trained martial arts at another training center, but ended up quitting because he just simply wasn’t enjoying it. At around the same time, Max was struggling in school and was having a hard time dealing with ADHD. After being introduced to Mastery through an after school program, Mrs. Litchfield asked Max if he wanted to try a new martial arts training program – and without question, Max said yes!
Within one month of sessions with Mastery Martial Arts, Max’s confidence soared. He went from having no confidence and very low self-esteem to a whole new level that was infectious. Everyone from his parents, to his teachers, to his family members noticed just how much more lively, upbeat, respectful, and happy Max was.
Max’s Story
When we first met Max, we saw a bright, gentle child who wanted to come out of his shell, but just didn’t know how. After equipping him with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude, Max became one of our brightest students.
In fact, after seeing the Max’s transformation unfold before her very eyes, Mrs. Litchfield decided to join Mastery Martial Arts too! Since then, Max has grown into a natural leader, as he works with his mother to encourage her, motivate her, and guide her in her training – just as he was taught. Today, we proudly work with Max and Mrs. Litchfield to ensure that they have the proper mindset and attitude to achieve their goals in the studio and in life.
