Is there a Link between Improving your child’s grades and martial arts?

Watch this….

It’s not a good feeling, at all, when you see a kid struggling or when you see a kid having challenges academically.

We recently had a father share his concerns about his daughter who joined Mastery to improve her overall abilities, especially in academics. Here is what he had to say,

We did discover some challenges academically. I brought them to Mr. Pezzillo’s (her chief instructor) attention.  He told me to leave it up to him. He said he was going to work with her.

Now my daughter is in the sixth grade and she’s excelling. For someone to go from struggling to exceptionally well, I really think it can be accredited to the leadership here at Mastery Martial Arts.

It gave her the ability to not be shy or afraid of people around her. She can stand up and talk in front of people. It has built her confidence. She now has that belief within herself. All this helped her improve in academics immensely.

Can Martial Arts Improve Your Child’s Grades?

We all know the benefits of physical fitness and that it can contribute towards a sound mind and body. Physical fitness improves mental health and has many positive effects on our brain.

Martial arts is not only a form of physical exercise that improves physical health but it has other advantages as well. As we saw in the video, it’s not just a physical workout,  but an ability to show your determination towards challenges; to have a sense of yourself and your abilities.

Martial arts teaches you that your opportunities are endless. It’s only you who needs to keep exploring them. It teaches children the value of hard work and gives them living proof of how it reaps results by putting consistent effort.

All this contributes towards a strong mental ability to face academic challenges head-on. Children learn how to deal with pressure well. Martial arts has positive effects on a student’s grades. This stance has been verified by the University of Madrid’s 3-year long research on around 2 thousand students of ages 6 to 18. It clearly indicates how exercise can enhance a student’s academic abilities.

Your Job?

As parents, all you need to do is give them an opportunity to explore themselves through martial arts.

Physical exercise is responsible for your child’s strong motor abilities that are closely linked with his/her muscular strength and cardio-respiratory capacity. All these combined have a sound effect on his academic development.

A strong body grows a strong mind that can decide in time and achieve desired results. It’s your duty as a parent to make physical activity fun for your child.

Children who participate in martial arts classes have a better chance of reaching their potential in academics. Luckily, we at Mastery have a variety of programs for children of all ages.

Wait no more and start investing your time and efforts in your child’s growth.
